Vote even if you cannot attend
A group that is not able to send a delegate for any reason may nominate another member of ILGA to represent its interests at the conference.
In order to nominate a delegate to vote on its behalf, a group has to be a member of ILGA with voting rights*. It then chooses a delegate who will attend the conference and gives him or her a letter authorizing him/her to get proxy votes to vote on its behalf. You can download here some examples of such a letter.
Any individual may exercise up to four (4) proxy votes.
* In order to fully participate to the event, make proposals that will be considered at the conference, present a candidate and vote, an LGBT group needs to become a full member of ILGA and pay its annual contribution to the work of the federation.
- ILGA’s membership fee is 20 Euro/year or 25 USD/year
- A group that is already an ILGA member can vote if it has paid its fees for the current and previous year
- New members only have to pay the fee for the current year
- Groups will be able to become members of ILGA and pay their membership at the conference
