INTERIGHTS invites applications for funded internship from lawyers in LGBT issues

INTERIGHTS defends and promotes human rights and freedoms worldwide through the use of international and comparative law. INTERIGHTS achieves this through a range of activities designed to strengthen human rights jurisprudence and obtain redress for people whose rights have been violated.

INTERIGHTS is currently accepting applications for a funded internship from lawyers working on LGBT rights as part of the development and implementation of its work. The internship is due to last for a period of three months and is due to begin in early October 2008. This is a full-time placement assisting the INTERIGHTS programme with:

  • legal research on international and comparative human rights law and practice with respect to the protection of LGBT rights;
  • preparation of materials for legal trainings and meetings on the application and development of equality standards in this context;
  • supporting the further development of INTERIGHTS’ LGBT work.

This internship carries a monthly stipend of GBP 1300. To apply please send a covering letter, a curriculum vitae indicating two referees and a recent writing sample of no more than 2000 words to:
